All objects within a database are created within a schema. While a schema provides a means to group objects together, a schema also provides a security boundary.
You will learn more about the application of schemas to security in Chapter 18.
The generic syntax for creating a schema is as follows:
CREATE SCHEMA schema_name AUTHORIZATION owner_name
