Snapshot Isolation

Snapshot Isolation is an additional isolation level available in SQL Server 2014. Similar to Read Committed Snapshot, Snapshot Isolation mode uses row versioning to take a point-in-time snapshot of the data. However, unlike Read Committed Snapshot isolation, which provides a statement-level snapshot of the data, Snapshot Isolation maintains a snapshot of the data for the duration of the entire transaction. A data snapshot is taken when the transaction starts and the snapshot remains consistent for the duration of the transaction.
