Installing Product Updates (Slipstreaming) During Upgrades

If you are upgrading to SQL Server 2014, you may want to include any available service packs and/or the latest cumulative update. Prior to SQL Server 2008 R2, this meant running the upgrade and then running any service pack and cumulative update separately. This process was tedious and time consuming. Fortunately, the SQL Server 2014 Installer provides the Product Updates feature. Product Updates allows you to include the latest publicly available product updates with the main product installation media so that the original media and the update are installed at the same time.
