Distributed Replay Clients

The Distributed Replay Clients are one or more computers that are running a Windows service named SQL Server Distributed Replay client. The clients process the replay workloads and apply those workloads against the target server.

The service associated with the Distributed Replay Clients can run on a computer that is separate from the other Distributed Replay components. For optimal concurrent workload testing it is best to run multiple clients on computers other than the target server. This type of setup will apply a workload that is representative of real world database access.
