Assemble Your HA Assessment Team
If you haven't done this before, then here's what you need to do to assemble the right folks for doing an HA assessment. You have three players who have to be the kernel members of any HA assessment effort. First, the project coordinator/manager who will drive the whole thing, a lead technologist/architect who thoroughly understands HA and the technology stack at your company, and the lead business architect who understands the application inside and out and also can calculate the exact business value of the application. In addition, several other groups or representatives that cover all areas of hardware, software, security, and end-users will be tapped during the HA assessment process.
