Using Content Sources to Include Information in Search Results

One way that content can be added to SharePoint Portal Server 2003 for searching is by adding a link to the site in the site directory. Although sites linked to the site directory can be indexed and searched, there is more flexibility and control with regard to what is searched (or not searched) if the site is added as a content source.
