Working with Project 2003 and SharePoint

Microsoft Project offers a powerful set of tools that project managers are familiar with and rely on. These tools help them map out the steps required to complete a project on time and within budget, and to determine the number of resources needed to do the work.

Project 2003 offers a number of new features to further leverage the information contained in the Project documents:

  • The Shared Workspace task pane is available in Project 2003.

  • Resources can be added from Active Directory or the Outlook Address book.

  • Comparing project plan versions provides graphical indicators to clearly identify differences between versions, such as tasks added or deleted.
