You can define and add features that customize your SharePoint environment by adding action menus, calling events and workflows, instantiating lists, and performing other activities to extend the functionality of your SharePoint environment. You can also extend SharePoint by configuring Excel Services to enable the reuse and publishing of your Excel workbooks.
