Deploying a Custom Action to Other Locations

If you want to deploy custom actions beyond a single list instance, or to other locations in SharePoint sites, such as the Site Actions menu, then you need to create a Feature in Visual Studio 2010.

To create a custom action Feature that adds a new menu item to the Site Actions menu, perform the following steps:
