Web Application Workflow Settings

From Central Administration there are some settings you can use to control how workflows operate on a per Web application basis. The Web application is most commonly known as the URL that users type in when accessing SharePoint, for example http://sharepoint.mycompany.com. In SharePoint Central Administration you can now enable or disable the use of workflows across an entire Web application. Access the workflow settings in Central Administration from Application Management and Manage Web Applications, select the Web application you want to manage, and from the general settings drop-down in the ribbon select Workflow ...
