Changes Between Forms in SharePoint Designer 2007 and 2010

The main change between working with custom forms in SharePoint Designer 2007 and SharePoint Designer 2010 is ultimately in the user interface and look and feel. Accessing existing list forms and options for creating new custom list forms is far more accessible in SharePoint Designer 2010. For instance, in order to replace an existing form in a list in SharePoint Designer 2007 you needed to perform several steps, including accessing a site’s folder list and then locating and right-clicking the list you wanted to modify. The List Properties dialog, shown in Figure 25.17, enabled you to select the list and form type.
