Form Behavior with Multiple Content Types

By default, lists contain a single, or base, content type such as the Announcements content type. If you add additional content types to a list then the properties of those content types are also added, including metadata (columns). For example, in Figure 25.83, three content types have been added to the customannouncement list, including the announcement, item, and events content types. As shown, columns are included, some specific to each content type. Other columns, such as Title and Categories, are specific to all or multiple content types.
