InfoPath versus ASPX List Forms

If you have deployed SharePoint Server 2010 enterprise version, then you have the option of replacing list forms with InfoPath forms, including edit, display, and new list forms (covered in Chapter 26, “Customizing List Forms with InfoPath 2010”). If you have a list that includes multiple content types, then you may mix and match InfoPath and ASPX forms. For example, in a list where you have content types ProjectX and ProjectY, forms related to ProjectX might be of type custom ASPX forms and forms related to ProjectY might be InfoPath forms. SharePoint Designer includes the mechanism for managing multiple forms for multiple content types.
