Summary

In this chapter, you learned about SharePoint list forms, how to work with the out-of-the-box list forms and, more importantly, how to create your own custom list forms using SharePoint Designer 2010. You also learned how to extend custom list forms using conditional formatting and extending list form functionality using jQuery.

If you use SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise edition then you have the added advantage of replacing list forms with InfoPath forms, which is covered in the next chapter. In Chapter 26 you learn how to leverage existing information and add multiple data sources to InfoPath list forms and how to use conditional formatting and rules to make smart forms.
