Modifying Columns

Columns are critical to view and list structure, and underpin sites (site collections), taxonomy, and search criteria. Choosing the column structure for a site’s lists and libraries is a fundamental part of upfront design in SharePoint planning and architecture. When you work with views, columns also play a critical part because the columns hold the data that users see when accessing a view in the Web interface.
