Summary
This chapter covered how to create and configure XLVs in SharePoint Designer. You learned how to utilize the XLV suite of tools to model and present XLV data, including use of custom filtering, sorting and grouping, and conditional formatting. In addition, you should now understand how XLVs and DFWPs compare, and how both view technologies can work hand-in-hand to create powerful dashboard and data entry points throughout SharePoint sites.
The chapter also covered creation of custom XSLT view styles and how to integrate those styles in SharePoint Designer, using the new List View Style content type. You have seen how to customize XSLT and directly modify XSLT to effect changes to XLVs.
