Font Sizing: Relative versus Absolute

In SharePoint 2007, a common question seen on forums relates to the different font sizing in the default CSS file. For instance, many of the fonts used PT or PX to define the font size, and designers would tend to override fonts and convert font sizing to EM, which meant that when users changed the font sizing in Internet Explorer the font size in the page would dynamically change to match the browser selection.

For instance, the body font in SharePoint 2010 is set to a default size of 8pt. When you use Internet Explorer’s Text Size menu option (see Figure 16.76), the font size in the page does not change.
