Adding Web Parts to ASPX Pages

Earlier, I discussed the effect of not attaching a master page to an ASPX page where the page contained Web parts and demonstrated how users could invoke JavaScript errors when attempting to interact with those Web parts via the browser. In this section, I discuss the importance of including Web part zones on the page in order for users to be able to interact with and edit Web parts via the Web interface.

The process of adding Web parts to ASPX pages is similar to adding Web parts to Web Part Pages, with the exception that Web part pages already have Web part zones defined along with formatting to manage empty Web part zones during page rendering.
