Changing the URL of a List or Library

When accessing the settings page of a list or library, one option that’s absent is the ability to change the list URL. There are times you might want to change the URL of a list, such as the default Shared Documents library that is created by default in Team sites. The Shared Documents library URL has a space between the words shared and documents, which is escaped by the characters %20 when rendered in the browser. The %20 characters can potentially cause issues with some client-side applications, which is why best practice when creating new lists and libraries is to not include spaces in URLs.
