Hiding Subsite Templates in Publishing Site Collections

If you are using SharePoint Server 2010 and have publishing enabled on the site collection then you may use the Page Layout and Site Template Settings page, via Site Settings (Site Settings, Look and Feel, Page Layouts and Site Templates) to manage which subsite templates are made available when choosing to create new sites within a site collection.
