Creating New Sites from the Settings Page
If you’re already working within a site in SharePoint Designer then there are several options for creating new subsites from the site’s Settings page and ribbon, as shown in Figure 8.25.

When you create a new subsite from within an existing site you receive a list of site templates available in the currently opened site, as shown in the New dialog in Figure 8.26, rather than having to select templates from other available sites in the computer’s WebsiteCache as previously described.
