Web Part Page Maintenance

Often when working with Web parts, you end up adding many Web parts to a single page and might either intentionally or unknowingly hide those Web parts. In addition, if you’re developing and testing Web parts then at some point you’re likely to encounter the dreaded This Page Cannot Be Displayed or another error message. To overcome such issues and remove offending Web parts, you can access the Web part maintenance page from any page, including Wiki, Web part, and publishing pages. A quick way to do this is to append the following parameter onto the URL:

?contents=1

An example of a full URL with the above parameter would look like http://sitename/sites/default.aspx?contents=1 or http://sitename/SitePages/Home.aspx?contents=1 ...
