Type of Pages in SharePoint 2010
There are effectively three main content page types in SharePoint 2010: Wiki pages, Web part pages, and publishing pages. Publishing pages are specific to SharePoint Server 2010 sites, and Wiki pages and Web part pages are common to both product platforms. Table 5.2 summarizes each page type.
