Configuring Anonymous Access

Understanding the process of establishing anonymous access in SharePoint sites is important if you plan to deploy an internet-facing site and need to make all, or some, content available to non-authenticated users. In this section, I walk through establishing anonymous access from the Web application level down and also show you how to uniquely set list-specific anonymous settings so that non-authenticated users can anonymously submit contact and feedback forms from your public-facing site.
