Microsoft SharePoint 2013 provides different sets of features and capabilities in on-premises deployments (not to be confused with Microsoft SharePoint Online, which is available in Microsoft Office 365 and as a stand-alone cloud offering). The specific feature sets that are available depend on the client access licenses (CALs) activated in your organization:

• SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise CAL

• SharePoint Server 2013 Standard CAL

• SharePoint Foundation 2013
