Finding experts using a people search
SharePoint doesn't just index documents, it indexes people too. Use this recipe to find the experts you need.
Getting ready
This recipe works for:
- SharePoint 2010 Standard Edition
- SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Edition
- Office 365 (SharePoint Online)
You will need a SharePoint search centre deployed to run a people search.
You will need the Read permission level to run a people search.
How to do it...
- Navigate to the Search Centre and click on the People tab.
- Enter your search term and click on the magnifying glass icon.
- The people who match your search term are displayed.
