Summary

This chapter provides a thorough overview of the wide range of applications of metadata in SharePoint 2010 by using hands-on exercises as well as feature discussions and examples. Because of the ways that metadata is enmeshed with SharePoint 2010, administrators must “get their hands dirty” to set standards for how metadata will be used and which SharePoint 2010 metadata-related features will be used.
