Summary

Document libraries and lists are arguably the most important features of SharePoint 2010 since they will contain the documents and data that users will be interacting with every day. Although an in-depth review of every tool and feature available from every document library and list in SharePoint is beyond the scope of this chapter, it highlights the most important and commonly used features and sets the stage for Chapter 20. SharePoint 2010 builds upon and refines the features provided by SharePoint 2007 lists and libraries in many important ways that turn SharePoint into a world-class and (just as important) easy-to-use document and data management tool.
