Adding Tasks to a Project

With calendars and calendar options in place, you're ready to add tasks to your Project file. If you already have a work breakdown structure (WBS), flip to Chapter 4 to learn how to enter (Creating a WBS in Project from the Top Down) or import (Importing a WBS into Project) those tasks into Project. Then, you can add additional tasks as they arise.

Adding Tasks

Whether you add newly identified tasks or insert tasks that don't appear on the WBS (milestones, meetings, and so on), the table on the left side of the Gantt Chart view is the place for fast input of basic task information.
