As described earlier, runbooks in Azure Automation are a set of related tasks that work together to perform an automated process. You can create Azure Automation runbooks through the browser-based user interface in the Azure portal, or you can import and modify runbooks from the Runbook Gallery to suit your purposes. At this time, there are five types of runbooks that you can create and use with Azure Automation:
