Failover on-premises VMware VM(s) and Physical servers to Azure

This process will fail over on-premises VMware VM(s) and physical servers to Azure:

  1. Navigate to the Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com) and sign in.
  2. In the Azure Portal, type Recovery Services in the Search resources search field and select Recovery Services vaults.
  3. Select and click the vault name to work in.
  4. Under Settings | Replicated items, right-click the VM(s) and click Failover.
  5. On the Failover screen, select a Recovery Point to fail over to.
  6. Under Shut down machines, if you want ASR to attempt a shutdown of the source VM(s) before starting the failover, select option to Shut down machines before beginning failover. Click OK.
