Failover on-premises Hyper-V VM(s) to Azure

The process will failover on-premises VM(s) to Azure:

  1. Navigate to the Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com) and sign in.
  1. In the Azure Portal, type Recovery Services in the Search resources search field and select Recovery Services vaults.
  2. Select and click the vault name to work in.
  3. Under Manage, click Recovery Plans (Site Recovery), click your recovery plan name, click ...More, and click Failover.
  4. On the Failover screen, confirm the direction of failover and, from the drop down menu, select a Recovery Point to failover to.
  5. If data encryption is enabled for the VMM cloud, under Encryption Key, select the certificate issued when you set up data encryption on the VMM server.
