The Update Management solution analyzes update metadata and state data collected from servers in your on-premises data centre and in the cloud, assesses the update state of the servers, and provides you with automation capabilities for patching any servers with approved updates. Update management supports the following connected sources:

System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Management group: The solution collects and analyzes information about updates from agents in an SCOM management group that is connected to OMS.
