How to do it...

You can add management solutions to your OMS workspace through the following various methods:

  • From the Azure Marketplace
  • From the OMS Portal
  • Using Azure Quickstart templates
  • Azure Resource Manager templates

Once added to your OMS workspace, you can configure and manage the solution from the Azure Portal or from the OMS portal.

When you install a management solution through the Azure Marketplace, a link is created between your Log Analytics workspace and an Automation account you select. When you add a solution with automation features outside of the Azure marketplace, you will have to link the Automation account to your Log Analytics workspace before you add the solution.
