Once you have met the prerequisites for connecting Linux systems to Log Analytics, and after you install the OMS agent for Linux and onboard your systems to your Log Analytics workspace, you are ready to start collecting syslog data.
To configure syslog data collection from connected Linux systems in your Log Analytics workspace, perform the following steps:
- Log into the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com.
- In the Azure portal, type Log Analytics in the Search resources search field and, under Services, select Log Analytics.
- Select your workspace from the list and, in the workspace blade, under Settings, click on Advanced settings.
