Customizing the Spell Checker

Customize the spell checker to make it run more to your liking. OneNote offers many ways to customize the spell checker. For example, you can turn off the wavy red lines that appear under misspelled words and choose whether to spell check uppercase words.

OneNote Spell Checking Options

Option	Description
Ignore words in UPPERCASE	Doesn’t spell check any uppercase words on the presumption that they are acronyms.
Ignore words that contain numbers	Doesn’t spell check words containing numbers.
Ignore Internet and file addresses	Doesn’t spell check URLs and file addresses (words with at symbols, @, and slashes, /).
Flag repeated words	Flags duplicate words in spell checks.
