Inserting and Deleting Columns and Rows

Unless you are lucky or clever enough to choose the right number of columns and rows for your table when you create it, you need to add and delete columns and rows as you construct your table. On the Table Tools Layout tab, OneNote offers commands for adding and deleting columns and rows.

Insert a Column or Row

  1. Click in the column or row next to the column or row you want to insert.

    • To insert a column, click anywhere in an existing column to the left or right of the column you want to insert.

    • To insert a row, click anywhere in an existing row above or below the row you want to insert.

  2. Click the Layout tab.

  3. Click an Insert button:
