Linking to Other Notebooks, Sections, and Pages

Linking notebooks, sections, and pages is a great way to go quickly from place to place. After you create the link, all you have to do to go to a different notebook, section, or page is click the link. The notebook, section, or page opens automatically. And to return to your original location, you can simply click the Back button on the Quick Access toolbar.

Use these techniques to create a link:

  • On the Insert tab, click the Link button (or press Ctrl+K). In the Link dialog box that appears, select the link destination.

  • Right-click a notebook, section, or page name and choose the Copy Link To command on the shortcut menu. Then right-click where you want the link to be and choose a Paste command.
