7.1. What Is a PerformancePoint Scorecard?
PerformancePoint 2007, previously known as Microsoft Business Scorecard Manager, is an improved scorecard design and delivery application—wrapped inside a Dashboard Designer that contains the scorecard and associated charts and grids. Earlier versions of PerformancePoint (Business Scorecard Manager) required significant work by online analytical processing (OLAP) cube designers to generate custom Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) queries in support of the scorecards.
