5.4. Publishing an Excel 2007 Report to SharePoint 2007 Excel Services

In the past Excel users have saved their Excel spreadsheets (we're calling them reports in this discussion) to their local client drives or to public drives for sharing with others. This has always introduced problems in getting people to pick up the latest Excel report for a meeting, for example, so that everyone is working with the same data. Also, people inevitably end up getting the Excel spreadsheet from different locations at different times, and bringing printouts to a meeting where questions arise as to the correct version of the spreadsheet and the validity of the data.
