Chapter 34. Using Queries

When you run a query, you are asking the database for specific information that you’d like to view and/or edit. The query is the question. Access responds by showing the data you’ve asked for in a datasheet (Figure 34.1), where you can view, sort, or filter the data. If you edit the data in the datasheet, the table on which it is based will also be modified. Each query you create can be saved so that you can reuse the query.
