Chapter 23. Formatting Charts

The charts you add to slides are given a default appearance by PowerPoint. Each chart type has its own default settings. The color and fonts used in the chart are determined by the design template applied to the presentation. For any particular chart, you can override any of the default settings by selecting elements in the chart and then changing their formatting.

Formatting Chart Elements

You can format the appearance of any individual element of the chart (one set of bars, one line, an axis, and so on). You can also change the style of any series in the chart by formatting a data series.
