Chapter 21. Creating Text Slides

Unlike the Outline pane, which shows a list of slides in text-only form, the Slides pane shows only the slide icons on the left, leaving a larger pane for you to work directly on a single slide, adding text, charts, graphics, clip art, and other objects. The icons showing hidden slides and slide transitions/animations are available in this pane.

Creating a Text Slide

Instead of using the Outline pane in Normal view to enter the text of slides, you can use the Slides pane, which enlarges the single slide pane in Normal view.

Procedure 21.1. To create a text slide:

  • From the Formatting toolbar, choose New Slide (Figure 21.1).
