Chapter 9. Word and theWeb

With Word’s Web-related capabilities, you can easily publish ordinary documents as pages on the Web or on an intranet (a private Web within an organization). You can also open existing Web pages, make changes to them in Word, and then resave them with the changes. And if you’d like to let Word take care of much of the work of creating Web pages or a Web site, you can let Word’s Web Wizard work for you.

Inserting Hyperlinks

By inserting hyperlinks in a document, you can create hotspots in the text that people can click to go to a file, a location in a file, or a page on the Web.

Procedure 9.1. To add a hyperlink:

  1. Select the text you want to hyperlink (Figure 9.1).
