Creating Cross-References

Cross-references are valuable tools in a long and informative document, but you have to be extremely well organized if you’re planning to insert them manually, especially if you do a lot of editing and rewriting. It’s much easier to let Word do the work for you! Word will keep track of all your cross-references and will keep all the information current. Word can even insert your cross-references as hyperlinks in an online document.

  1. Type the beginning text of your cross-reference.
