Inserting an Equation

Few things have been as difficult as displaying mathematical equations in a document—until now. Word 2007 provides powerful equation-writing tools that allow you to insert a prepackaged equation as is or modify one any way you want it to appear. Remember, however, that any equation you insert is the equation in its current form only; Word is unable to do any math with that equation.

Insert an Equation

  1. Click in the document where you want to insert the equation.

  2. On the Insert tab, click the down arrow at the right of the Equation ...
