Key Points

  • You can send messages in various formats. HTML messages support the most formatting, including stationary and themes.

  • You can create a signature for Outlook to add to new messages and/or forwarded messages and replies you send.

  • Messages can be grouped and sorted by sender, time, subject, size, or other fields.

  • You can create rules to display messages in particular colors depending on the sender, subject, contents, time, who else they were sent to, or almost any other criteria.

  • You can flag new and received messages for follow up at a later time. All your flagged messages appear in your For Follow Up folder, and Outlook can send you a reminder when the follow-up is due.
