Summary
In this chapter, we have outlined the existing best practices concerning upgrades from SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to SharePoint Server 2007 and have presented our views in various areas. What we have not tried to do is outline how to perform the upgrades because considerable information on these procedures already exists in the marketplace. Instead, we have suggested the best practices in order to achieve a successful upgrade while outlining the pros and cons of each upgrade method.
