In this chapter, you looked at the configuration options for application management at both a farm level and for individual Web applications. Although not all the available options are required, many of them are enabled by default for all Web applications. You will need to make a design decision to establish which services are required. The new features of Web application management make it easy to configure multiple mechanisms of security and authentication; combined with zone mapping for different user locations, this makes a very robust hosting and collaboration scenario.
