In this chapter, I discussed a number of site management features for SharePoint sites exposed by SharePoint Designer.

You learned about the SharePoint Designer capabilities to import and export content into SharePoint sites. You also learned how you can export sites as templates and save Web parts. I also discussed SharePoint Designer's backup and restore capabilities.

Finally, I took you through the Contributor Settings feature of SharePoint Designer, which can be used to lock SharePoint Designer menus and command bars based on user permissions, and I also explained how to manage content regions in master pages.
